மார்ச்சில் துவங்கி, ஏப்ரலில் முடிந்த இந்த தேர்வில், 8.61 லட்சம் மாணவ - மாணவியர் பங்கேற்றனர். இதில் மாணவர்கள் 87.4 சதவீதம் பேர் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றுள்ளனர். மாணவிகள் 94.6 சதவீதம் பேர் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றுள்ளனர். 36,380 மாணவ, மாணவிகள் 600 க்கு 500 மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றுள்ளனர். 188 அரசு பள்ளிகள் 100 சதவீதம் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றுள்ளன.
97.3 சதவீதம் தேர்ச்சி விகிதத்துடன் ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. 96.4 சதவீதம் தேர்ச்சி விகிதத்துடன் திருப்பூர் 2வது இடத்திலும், 96.2 சதவீதம் தேர்ச்சி விகிதத்துடன் கோவை 3வது இடத்திலும் உள்ளன.
